Let Me Tell You About My Best Friend

Sometimes I get lonely here at school with studying and work I just get anti-social sometimes. I am always reminded that I am loved and cared about my best friend so I thought I should tell you about her.
Meet Katie. Katie was my suit-mate my first semester at Temple. Everyone knows how awkward it is your first year at school living with people so we didn't really talk to each other for a few weeks. Actually Katie didn't talk to anyone and we thought she was pregnant, but that's another story. After a while I posted that I was about to watch dancing with the stars and Katie walked into my room and said "YOU LIKE DANCING WITH THE STARS TOO?!" instant friendship. Not to mention we both have an obsession with this lovely man.
Mark Beautiful Piece of Man Ballas
We started hanging out a lot more and noticed we had almost everything in common. We both love Harry Potter and LIVE for Harry Potter weekend and she introduced me to the best show in the world..
the Chandler to my Joey
So how could I NOT cherish this person?! Temple was not the right school for Katie and she eventually moved back home and attended a college close to where she lived. We never stopped being friends and she came to visit very frequently
After I transferred to Penn State, I was a lot closer to Katie (45 minutes to State College vs 3 hours to Philadelphia) Which is just great, Katie comes even more now and nothing has changed.
We are still deep down those silly 18 year olds who met in college and bonded over Harry Potter and Cheez Its and cream cheese.
I am writing this mostly because I've been so down the last few weeks and I have been talking with her and she sent me the most BEAUTIFUL flowers just because she's my best friend and I am just so speechless and thankful for such a wonderful friend.

I LOVE YA BITCH!

Music that Moves Me

This is what I'm listening to lately, jamming to, singing too.

Hey. You. You're Beautiful

I missed yesterday but I would like to take this opportunity to tell anyone that's reading
that you, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, and amazing, and intelligent. Never let anyone tell you differently. Seriously those people, are wacky.

People are going to not like you, for whatever reason. Don't let them bother you or change how you feel about yourself. Find people who make you love who you are, and really care about you.

Make Up Must Haves

I don't wear make up daily, I walk so much everyday that it would just be nonexistent. But when we go out on the weekends, or out to dinner I but just a little bit on.

1. I swear by Smashbox: Limitless Eyeliner in Onyx: I'm one of those people who when they put eyeliner on it just leaks everywhere and you look like a walk of shame at about 10:30 pm. But not this stuff, it sticks and it has a sharpener attached to it already!

2. CoverGirl Lash Blast Clump Crusher: This stuff is great. I don't have long eye lashes and I always have the problem of messing up at least one of my eyes by putting too much mascara on and it clumps everywhere. This stuff is great and never clumps. THE COMMERCIAL DOESN'T LIE PEOPLE.

3. CoverGirl Clean Whipped Foundation: I just started using this foundation and I absolutely love it. It really feels so light on my skin and stays there. A little goes a long way with this stuff so you will have it forever.

4. Benefit Hoola Bronzer: I really like this bronzer, its not orange whatsoever and gives me a great glow even in the winter. The matte finish is really nice, no glitter which is good because I can wear it without having to feel like a Victoria's Secret model.

5. Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette: My mom is da bomb and got me this for Christmas and I love it. It goes well with my skin so if I'm feeling like adding something to my makeup I can and it doesn't look to out of ordinary.

Write a movie review: Clue

So ever since I can remember my favorite movie has been the movie Clue.
Which, yes, is based off the board game and is just hilarious in all of its fine humor.
Its starts with seven people living in Washington DC who are being blackmailed by Mr. Boddy for some illegal action they are doing or have done in the past. These guests are Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Mr. Green, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mrs. Peacock. They are invited dinner where Wadsworth The Butler who is played by Tim Curry. Curry is just flawless in this role.
yes, I know Curry from Clue...judge me.
The guests are informed by Wadsworth that they are being blackmailed by Mr. Boddy , who in turn gives each guest a weapon to kill Wadsworth for leaking the information that each are being blackmailed by him.
These are the weapons that used in the game. Which really just makes the movie so much more enjoyable, at least for me. They are challenged by Boddy to kill Wadsworth, but he is in turned murdered instead.
So the rest of the movie is committed to resolving who is the murderer. You are given three endings to watch to see who killed Mr. Boddy, with what weapon, in what room.

I will NOT tell you guys who did it, you have to watch this movie. Its a classic and an enjoyable movie to watch over and over again.

How did I become the Happy Hunger Dame

I started my blog and didn't really know how I wanted to portray myself. Show my fabulousness? My nutrition major side?

No.

I am a tad bit OBSESSED with the Hunger Games, or Jennifer Lawrence...I'm not really sure..but who cares? The only way I could show love for my favorite novel series (sorry Harry Potter) was incorporating it into my new baby.

I am the Happy Hunger Dame.

ps. my fantasy football name is also the Hunger Dame (because I am a princess).

What Scares Me?

These five people are the most important people in my life. My absolute fear is losing them. Everyone has their normal fears; spiders, snakes, heights but mine are losing my loved ones. I have no fear of my future, if I'll get a job, or if I will make money. I work so hard, every day and I am finally confident in my ability to get where I have to be.

Those five people above support me and love me more than anyone on this planet and that is truly the most safe feeling in the world. Thinking that I could wake up one day and them not be there literally makes me want to shut down emotionally. I will never be able to thank them enough for everything they do for me.

Side note: Being in the ocean scares me so horribly that when we go on vacation I don't go past where it hits my knees. Its embarrassing but I watched Jaws at WAY too young of an age.

Blog EveryDay in February (Day 1 and 2)

I've been trying to find some blogs to follow lately and I stumbled on
this idea from Anchored in Love. I'm just starting out my blog
so I hope that this will be a good start for me to get used to blogging!

I came into the world kicking and screaming twenty-one
years ago and I haven't stopped since. My dad and mom
are two amazing hard working people, and my sister
is my best friend who will do everything for me (even pay
for speeding tickets).
Raylicious, Hanna Banana, and Ndawg.
I was born and raised in Pennsylvania and from the moment
I started doing forward rolls my parents put me in gymnastics
I started gymnastics at age three and it became my lifestyle.
Gymnastics is a great way to become physically and mentally
stronger as a person. With the sport I got to travel all over
the country and meet some really amazing gymnasts.
Little me and my little teammate Danielle.
Eventually my body just got too overworked in the sport
so now I teach it here at school at Nittany Gymnastics Academy.
After I finished my gymnastics career I started running track and
got really interested in the high jump.

After graduation, I attended Temple University for two years and
found it just wasn't for me, so I transferred to...

Penn State University (like you couldn't tell)
I love everything about Penn State. The football, the
campus, my teachers, its just really an amazing place to spend
my college career. I am a Nutrition major looking to become a
registers dietician and work in pediatric, prenatal, and infant studies.
Penn State not only gave me such a great education but it also gave me
my best friend...
This is my wonderful, smart, supportive man friend.
His name is Norm, and he is just everything special in a
person to me. I am so thankful for him and his outpouring
support for me. This kid even knows my Starbucks order,
like does it get any better?! We have been dating for almost
a year and a half and I have learned so much about him
and myself during this time. Love is real, and never
think it doesn't involve work.
(hey, babe thanks for being awesome)

That's just a little chunk of my life, and who and what make me what I am.

What gets me ready to take on a task, or do something for myself..
(1) A good workout in the morning: This is something that I just started doing. I have late starting classes this semester so I like getting up early in the morning and go to the gym and start my day with a good lift. I've found I am so happy and so proud of myself after I am done that I just feel better throughout the day. Its also great because I don't have to worry about making time during the rest of my day and it just eases my mind. I also come home and watch Kelly and Michael and Ellen,
who doesn't love that?!

(2) Having a plan: I have a emotional attachment to my Lilly Pulitzer planner. I take it everywhere. I also fill it to the brim with sticky notes for reminders. Having my plans written down makes my life a lot less hectic, and I feel like I don't have to worry about remember what homework I have. If you don't have a planner, you're wacky.

(3) My boyfriend: Like I mentioned earlier, my boyfriend is my best friend. He always knows what to say when I'm having an emotional meltdown about Biochemistry or something (and it happens a lot). We spend a lot of time together and its so reassuring to have some one that you feel like time just
slows down when they are around and you feel safe. I am very blessed.
