Today is my first post of 2014. I feel like if I write down my progress I will keep to my resolutions. Tumblr is addicting enough that I will stick to it (at least I hope)
1. Eat so my belly is happy. Although I’m a Nutrition major I am not perfect. I go out and eat like two slices of pizza at like 2 A.M.
I have a weakness for burgers and I get lazy about cooking on nights that I work late. I would really like to cut back on eating out and I would like to stop eating (for the most part)between the hours of 10pm and 6am. I want to drink more water as well.

2. Workout more than last year (but don’t overdue it). I have a problem with working out really hard for like two weeks and then stop. I have something in my mind that tells me I’m fat if I don’t workout every day (ha ha I am a girl) I want to work out even the littlest bit at least 5 days a week. My boyfriend is also trying to be fit so this will make my life a lot easier. I feel like if I mix up my workouts I will keep it up. Taking classes, trying HIIT, and workout with my exercise ball.
3. Do more yoga. I feel so much better and lighter if I stretch out. Yoga is just such a relaxing experience. I took yoga for credit one semester and I had such a happier life (even though the teacher was bat shit crazy).
4. Give my GPA a confidence boost. I think this is so beneficial for me and my confidence in general. Ask anyone, getting a good grade is an instant day booster. I want to try to make an at least an hour committed to being in the library or computer lab working my butt off to make things make sense.
5. Take more pictures. I am the kind of person who sees things in their mind as a captured moment. My parents got me a beautiful Nikon D7000 for Christmas a year ago and I was just so busy with life that I neglected to use it. Captured moments are captured memories.
6. Take Long Walks. I do not do running, I just don’t do it. I get wheezy, and want to cry, its not cute. My campus is one of the most gorgeous places in the world and its always nice to enjoy it. I want to try recording lectures and listening to them while I walk, hoping this will help with not just walking but also resolution number four (insert thumbs up).
7. Show my boyfriend love everyday. R-O-M-A-N-C-E. My boyfriend is my best friend and every moment of every day my mind wants what’s best for him. I love and adore him so much that I’m determined to make him know that he is the best thing to ever walk in my life.
Mondays are the WORST, especially when its rainy, and cold, simply miserable. But none the less, I had a lot to do today and was not going to get negative wind chills stop me!
I took advantage of the ugly weather here in middle of nowhere PA to break out my new Hunter Boots. (I did take advantage of them and stomp into every puddle and snow pile I came upon)
We started our morning with a quick lunch at Red Robin. I’m usually not a big heavy meal person for lunch but if you say “bottomless onion rings” I’m probably going to change my mind. I had the turkey burger (670 calories) with my favorite bottomless onion rings. The turkey burger was fairly good for a place that says they specialize in beef burgers. They also give you the option to wrap your burger in a lettuce wrap but I wasn’t all about it today. They put some sort of atomic chipotle mayonnaise on my burger that lit my mouth on fire so badly I chugged mine, and my boyfriends drink. I think I’ll try this again next time we land upon a Red Robin (let’s be honest…its going to happen..repeat after me.. bottomless onion rings), but next time I will definitely remind myself to get a honey mustard substitution.
I’ve been itching for a new Alex and Ani bracelet for months. I love my dangling bangles as much as the next college girl and I am not ashamed. This is one I’ve wanted since I found out what they were. Growing up my parents always taught me that I can only do so much in a situation and Raylicious always says “it is what it is”. Its a good thing to have to look down at everyday. Again, I’m not ashamed. (shout out to Murphy’s Jewelers in Hamburg PA for having the kindest employees)
This week is the last week of break which means I’m probably going to turn into a psychotic organization woman. Today I made these adorable binders for class. I found Lilly Pulitzer wallpapers online and added a text box to them with the class name using Microsoft Word. (I also wasted a TON of ink, no shame). So easy and a two pack of binders was only around $6.50. I get way too excited over things like this but a DIY design is so much happier to look at. (accomplishment is key)
For dinner I chose, a whole wheat bagel and some of my mom’s Waldorf chicken salad. Who doesn’t love Waldorf salad, or anything Waldorf..I’m lHooking at you Blair Waldorf.
May Life Be Ever In Your Favor
